What Does a CTE Diploma Mean To Me

According to the New York City Department of Education's website, the minimum credit requirements to graduate with a regents diploma are: 8 credits in English 8 credits in Social Studies 4 credits in Global History 2 credits in US History 1 credit in Participation in Government 1 credit in Economic 6 credits in Math 2 credits in advance Math 6 credits in Science 2 credits in any Life Science 2 credits in any physical science 2 credits in any life science or physical science 2 credits in a foreign language 4 credits in physical educaion 1 credit in health  2 credits in art education 7 credits in electives Then there are the exam requirements that include a score of 65 or above in the following regents: ELA, any math, any social studies, any science, and any additional regents exam. Hello, my name is Andoni Nolasco and you're watching Disney Channel. Nope you're on the website of a senior at Information Technology High School who is in the Web Design Academy at his school. This is probably the third time I explained this on blogger, but Web Design is on of the two CTE Academies my school offers. CTE stands for Career and Technical Education which basically mean we take classes and have information secessions in order to get a head start on preparing for college and careers. The Web Design academy is for students interested in computer science and want to pursue a career in the field. That was the reason I decided to join Sophomore year: at the time, I wanted to be a video game designer and felt the academy would provide me the necessary preparation for studying that in college.
