Power Skills: Professionalism

How can you show professionalism in school?

Professionalism in school is very similar to professionalism in the workplace in terms of expectation. You are expected to show up on time and be active which means to participate and when you see something that needs to be done, you do it. Another way to show professionalism is by treating teachers and your peers with respect at all times. Not only is arriving on time for each class important, but it also matters that you take notes, hand in homework on time, and participate. Personal hygiene is also a part of professionalism, dressing appropriately and making sure your hygiene is good. All of this will leave a good impression on your teachers who may return the favor in ways such as recommendations and internship opportunities.
